Tech-021: From Engineer to Lead: The Infonetica Era

A few days after my in-person interview, the recruiter called. The words I’d been waiting for came through: Infonetica would like to make you an offer for the role of Lead DevOps Engineer.”

I was shocked. I was ecstatic. This was the next big leap — and it was mine.

There was one condition: for the first six months, I’d be required to attend the office every Monday and Tuesday. To support this, Infonetica would put me up in a hotel for those nights.

Far from being a burden, I actually found the idea exciting. After months of remote-heavy work, the thought of breaking free from the home office, building face-to-face relationships, and immersing myself in the company’s culture felt refreshing.

So, I accepted the offer.

It was now time to prepare for the transition and, with a mix of pride and bittersweetness, say goodbye to ParentPay.

Epilogue: Closing Out ParentPay

Submitting my resignation at ParentPay was bittersweet. Andy was shocked, colleagues were sad but supportive, and everyone wished me well in my next step. It was clear they believed I was destined for more.

We said our goodbyes, and I left with gratitude for everything I had learned — about enterprise DevOps, about people, about balance. Those lessons would carry me into the Infonetica era.
