Tech-012: Closing the Chapter: From Developer to DevOps

After six incredible years at DMS Navigator, I knew it was time to take the next step. I’d grown from a junior developer tinkering with VB.NET, to leading teams, driving cloud adoption, and building automation that shaped the way we worked. But deep down, I felt the pull towards something bigger: DevOps

Having no idea what I was getting into at the time, I decided to take the leap into something new. life, after-all is about taking chances and exploring new things. its how we learn and grow ...

I updated my CV with my latest experience, sent out to recruiters and started applying for roles I liked.

After multiple applications and interviews I was finally accepted for a devops role at a catering software company

And like that it was time to close out my chapter at DMS Navigator. we celebrated one final Xmas Party together.

The Navigator Parties were some of the best experiences of my career, it really was like one little family rather than a business.

I knew then that I preferred small business environments to corporate enterprise.

🙏 Thanks 🙏

I am forever grateful for everyone I served with at DMS Navigator; I gained not only experience but lifelong friends and connections, me and Leanne are regular in touch and follow each other's journeys, I'm sure she will be reading this blog

Closing Thought

Navigator gave me the foundation. But DevOps was calling — and I knew it was time to answer.
